Dinah Driscoll, daughter of Ted and Nancy Driscoll, died of strept throat after her mother refused medical treatment. The defendant claims that her religion practices healing through faithful prayer, not through modern medicine. Charges are still pending.

Trial began this morning. Prosecution lawyer Jami Hernandez started off with her opening arguement, followed by Molly Dugger for the defense. Next the prosecution called witnesses Maria Lopez and Dr. Tina E. Frederick. After the the prosecution rested, the defense called holy nurse Sandra Trianna. Before the proseuction was able to cross-examine Ms. Trianna, a recess was called. Trial will continue on Monday.

Trial continuted this morning. The prosecution cross-examined Sandra Trianna and then witness Dr. Suzette Plaisance was called. The defense rested and closing arguments began. Meghan Daigle began on behalf of the prosecution. Mary Katherine Taylor delivered the closing argument for the defense followed by Meghan Daigle again with a rebuttle. Court is in recess until tomorrow morning, when the jury will meet to reach a decision.
